Kick-off for the anniversary year \u201c100 Years of Bauhaus in Dessau\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Am 4. September 2025 hat die EU-Kommissarin f\u00fcr Start-Ups, Forschung und Innovation, Ekaterina Sachariewa, das gr\u00f6\u00dfte der sachsen-anhaltischen NEB_PROJEKTE, das \u201eReallabor ZEKIWA Zeitz (RZZ)\u201c, auf dem innerst\u00e4dtischen Areal der fr\u00fcheren Zeitzer Kinderwagenfabrik besucht. Die Visite war Auftakt f\u00fcr das Jubil\u00e4um \u201e100 Jahre Bauhaus Dessau\u201c und beste Gelegenheit f\u00fcr die Stadt: \u201eZeitz zeigt Zukunft!\u201c Begleitet vom Ministerpr\u00e4sidenten des Landes Sachsen-Anhalt, Dr. Reiner Haseloff, und dem Zeitzer Oberb\u00fcrgermeister, Christian Thieme, standen w\u00e4hrend des Aufenthalts in der Elsterstadt zwei Dinge auf dem Programm: der Besuch einer Ausstellung der Verbundpartner zum und \u00fcber das Projekt sowie eine Gespr\u00e4chsrunde zwischen Zeitzerinnen, Zeitzern und der EU-Kommissarin. Die Botschaft des Besuchs: Das Neue Europ\u00e4ische Bauhaus f\u00fchrt die historische Idee vom Bauhaus ins 21. Jahrhundert und entwickelt sie f\u00fcr unsere Zeit weiter!<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

All partners involved in the project, the administrative department \u201cStructural Change in the Central German Mining Region,\u201d the NEB_NETZWERKB\u00dcRO, and many others at NEB, Zekiwa, and Zeitz had come to the historic inner-city site of the pram factory, not only to give the EU visitors a fitting welcome, but also to listen carefully, reassure themselves, and strengthen each other. The common tenor: the historic Bauhaus and the New European Bauhaus are places of new beginnings, inspiring innovation and a focus on the future! This <\/strong>Messages are important in turbulent times. They also shaped the discussion in which residents of Zeitz from the youth parliament, the municipal neighborhood management, the digitization center, and the Burg Giebichenstein University of Art and Design as network partners had their say.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Zekiwa Zeitz real-world laboratory embodies this aspiration, aiming to be both a laboratory for the future and a model project for Zeitz and other cities and regions affected by structural change.<\/strong> During his visit, Haseloff emphasized the importance of innovation and cooperation: \u201cThe structural change in the Central German mining region is a major challenge that we can only overcome together and with a great deal of perseverance. Projects such as the Zekiwa real-world laboratory show how creativity and cooperation can shape the future.\u201d By 2027, the former factory district is set to be transformed into a vibrant, forward-looking urban quarter, fully in line with the three NEB_CRITERIA: BEAUTIFUL. SUSTAINABLE. TOGETHER. <\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The EU Commissioner gained her first practical insight into this at the exhibition set up in the \u201cRoom of Opportunities\u201d in the already renovated Zekiwa main building. Representatives from Anhalt University of Applied Sciences gave a presentation and showed examples of innovations in furniture construction and interior design, including a 3D-printed armchair made from recycled or bio-based granulate, as well as digital solutions such as the \u201cCitizens' App: Your Zeitz, your ideas, our future.\u201d Another exciting project was the Bauhaus Agentinnen Zeitz's \u201cCity You Can Touch.\u201d The NEB_NETZWERKB\u00dcRO presented digitally the www.neuebauhaeusler.com\/neb_projects\/<\/a> location map of the \u201capplied NEB_PROJECTS\u201d<\/strong>, including the \u201cFamily Center\u201d in Kleinpaschleben and the \u201cLEHM-BAU-KULTUR\u201d in Halle's Schwemme district.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After her brief visit to Zeitz, the EU Commissioner traveled on to Dessau to attend the official celebrations marking the start of the Bauhaus anniversary. Meanwhile, a large public festival was held on the Zekiwa site, focusing on the old factory and the new plans, where people came together to discuss cooperation and visions. In short: Zeitz showed the future!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
