The European Commission has adopted the new Horizon Europe work program for 2026–2027. This also marks the start of a new funding phase for NEB_FACILITY, which invites you to further develop bold ideas and initiate new projects.
The independent, multi-year financing instrument NEB_FACILITY supports the implementation of the NEB_INITIATIVE's objectives throughout the entire innovation cycle: from research and development (R&I component) to the provision and scaling of innovative solutions (roll-out component).
A total of nine calls will be published in three destinations. Across Europe, more than €210 million will once again be made available to revitalize neighborhoods and improve their quality of life. Neighborhoods are defined as areas with up to 10,000 inhabitants or a maximum area of 25 km².
Thematic priorities for 2026:
For 2026, NEB_FACILITY will focus on key topics, including:
- the development of solutions for introducing the circular economy
- climate-friendly and affordable housing
- the reuse and conversion of spaces
- improving thermal comfort in buildings
- innovative investment models for implementing NEB_SOLUTIONS
- uvm.
The funding is therefore aimed at projects that combine ecological, social, and aesthetic goals in concrete transformation processes.
Support for project ideas in Saxony-Anhalt:
The new funding phase opens up important opportunities for Saxony-Anhalt: it invites people to develop bold ideas and initiate new projects. The NEB_NETZWERKBÜRO (NEB_NETWORK OFFICE) of the state initiative #NeueBauhäusler (New Bauhausers) helps interested parties find their way around the NEB_FACILITY and supports municipalities, institutions, initiatives, and individuals who are pursuing initial project ideas.
