Saxony-Anhalt has launched another funding call as part of the state initiative “Saxony-Anhalt – Together for a New European Bauhaus (NEB) #NeueBauhäusler.” The focus: applied NEB projects with a connection to industrial heritage! Participate! Get involved! Apply!
Starting now and until August 15, 2025, applications can be submitted for funding of both investment and non-investment projects, as well as community-oriented initiatives, for the Central German Mining Region in the districts of Anhalt-Bitterfeld, Burgenlandkreis, Mansfeld-Südharz, Saalekreis, and the city of Halle (Saale). The focus is on promoting innovative ideas, projects, and visions for a region in transition – #thinkmodern. The goal of the funding call: to connect industrial heritage with the NEB spirit. The call officially kicks off during the 15th Day of Industrial Heritage in Saxony-Anhalt, taking place from April 10–13. More information is available at www.industriekultur-sachsen-anhalt.de
A total of 10 million euros from the “European Just Transition Fund” (JTF) will be available for this funding call over the next two years. Funding of up to 100% is possible. All projects must be completed by June 30, 2027.
Applications must be submitted by at least two consortium partners, which may include non-university research institutions, districts, independent cities, municipalities, municipal associations, other local government associations, district development companies, municipal development companies, associations, and foundations.
The NEB Network Office and the Network for Industrial Culture Saxony-Anhalt (NIK) support applicants with questions regarding the funding call, industrial heritage, and the New European Bauhaus. Application documents will be available from April 11 at the granting authority, the Investitionsbank Sachsen-Anhalt (IB).
